Is pressure washing safe around a swimming pool?
Yes, with the right setup. We manage rinse water and debris so it is not driven into the pool, and we adjust technique to the decking material, whether that is travertine, flagstone, pavers, stamped concrete or cool deck. Tell us what your deck is made of when you call and we will plan around it.
Why does my pool deck get slippery?
A thin film of algae builds up in the pores of the decking, especially in shaded spots and where the deck stays damp. It is slick underfoot long before it is obviously dirty, which is why a deck that looks fine can still be a slip risk around a pool.
Will cleaning fade or damage my travertine or pavers?
Not when the pressure is matched to the material. Travertine, flagstone and some pavers are softer than a concrete slab and need less pressure and more solution, and getting that wrong is what etches or pits a stone deck. This is a case where the technique matters more than the machine.
How soon can we use the pool area after cleaning?
Usually as soon as the deck dries, which on a warm Houston day is not long. We will let you know before we leave if any part of the job needs longer, so nobody is stepping onto a surface that is still wet.
