Will soft washing damage my paint, stucco or siding?
No, and that is the whole reason we use it. Soft washing applies a cleaning solution at low pressure and lets the solution do the work, instead of blasting the surface. High pressure on siding can strip paint, crack stucco and force water behind panels, which is why we reserve it for concrete.
How often should I have my house washed in Texas?
Once a year suits most homes in the Katy area. Our humidity keeps mildew and algae growing constantly, so an annual wash usually keeps a home ahead of it. Homes under heavy tree cover, or on the shaded north side, sometimes want it more often.
Does house washing kill grass, plants or landscaping?
Not when it is done properly. We wet down and protect plants and grass before we start and rinse thoroughly afterwards, and we plan where the solution runs. Landscaping damage usually comes from letting solution sit and dry on plants, which is avoidable.
Do you clean window exteriors and screens as part of a house wash?
Exterior window glass, frames and screens are included in our soft wash, along with soffits, fascia and trim. What we do not do is interior glass, which is a different trade. If you want a specific area given extra attention, tell us when we quote.
